Technics SL-10

I sound like Charlton Heston when I talk about this unit - “You can take this from my cold, dead hands!”. Linear tracking - direct drive - quartz lock - built-in moving-coil preamp - made from cast aluminum (not plastic) - uses P-mount cartridges - it can even play up-side down. Incredibly quiet - my first choice for digitizing vinyl.
Unfortunately, the original Technics EPS-310MC moving-coil cartridge failed (along with a spare that I had bought years ago). Also, the turntable has a feature that automatically lifts the needle from the record - if the record grooves go out beyond that point, you are out of luck.
